VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Please DO NOT share your links to your chat publicly on Amino!!!!! This is very important because there may be certain people who might troll your chat and cause problems when they join. To change the name, description, cover photo, how many people can join, etc., go to settings and then make the changes you need to make. Once you’ve created the chat you can share a link for people to join that chat!ġ6. You won’t be able to add people either (don’t quote me on this ^^’). So if they make changes, it won’t show on that chat. Add a chatroom name and click next → add tags (optional) and click next →adjust the settings as you like (the first option means that they are only allowed to use the profile they have atm. Original style is the default style (your prof pic, a background, name etc.) and Card-style is as shown.ġ5. To create one, go to “Chats” → settings → chats again → “My Open Chatrooms.” Click “Create” and select a style.ġ4. What is an open chat? It’s basically a chatroom you can join if you have a link. “Mosaic” is basically a setting that makes the people anonymous as shown in the picture.ġ3. The capture option takes a screenshot of a message or chat. The smiley face to the right are emoticons. Click on the plus button to see those options. You can only pin one chat.ġ2.There are different options when in chats. This is very useful when you have tons of chats, yet there’s one chat that you keep going back to, but you have to scroll all the way to the bottom. To pin a chat, slide right and click the pin. Depending on what you chose, the design thing should appear on your cover photo.ġ1. After choosing what you like for your profile, click apply and go back to Kakao. Apply it to your profile and after you come back to the app for a certain time, the fish should grow (make sure you tap the heart first though to make it “grow)!Ĩ. I used the fish one before, but since I re-installed Kakao it reset. These are icons that you “take care of” so it can “grow” and turn into something else. Scroll until you find one with a heart icon. It should take you to a place where you can find different decorations/designs/icons to make your profile more snazzy! There’s tons and tons of things to choose from, but what I want to talk about is this specific decoration/design/icon thing. Click the icon on the bottom right corner.ħ. Click the box on the Privacy Policy and click “Getting Started.” Click allow for all of the pop-ups. When you open Cheez, click log in from KakaoTalk. Nelle, what’s a ProfileCon? Remember how I told you to download Kakao Cheez? Click on ‘ProfileCon” and click “Choose from KakaoTalk Cheez.”Ħ. I don’t think you have to verify your e-mail).ĥ. Also, I think it asks your e-mail as well in order to set up an acc? It didn’t show up for me (maybe because I already had an e-mail registered) but if it does, just use your e-mail and make a password. If you already have an acc click log-in (I made a different acc just to show that but later on I switched to my orig acc. After you verify it, it should take you to that log-in/sign-up page as seen in picture 2. (Also download Kakao Cheez, you’ll find out why later).Ģ. Here is a quick guide to how you can make a Kakao account!ġ. Your number does not show on your profile, though so no worries! When you first sign up for this app, it asks you for your number for verification. The Seventeen account on Kakao is part of the Plus Friends (again, I’ll explain it later on in the blog). Yes! It’s totally safe, especially for Pledis. However, it may be hard to use some features because the text is in Korean ─ such as the Plus Friends, which I will explain later on in the blog. You don’t really need to understand Korean in order to use this app because it uses English as well. Think of it as LINE, Messenger, Kik, etc. KakaoTalk is a Korean SNS where you can text people (it’s an app for texting). However, when I scrolled through the comments of the blog I’ve noticed a lot of Carats asking about this SNS. After I found out that Seventeen made an official KakaoTalk from this post, I instantly re-downloaded my KakaoTalk.
